About Brad

Brad is a native of Colorado and its 7th Congressional District.  Along with his three brothers, he attended Jefferson County public schools, became an Eagle Scout, and learned to love fishing, hunting, camping, and skiing in the foothills and mountains west of Denver.

Brad graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Central and East European Studies. Mentored by a professor who escaped the Nazis and communists in Poland, volunteered to fight with the British Army in World War II, and was a foreign-affairs advisor to Ronald Reagan, Brad studied the severe harm to personal liberty and economic prosperity imposed by authoritarian governments and their command-and-control systems. After Brad and his wife completed law school at CU Boulder, they returned to Jeffco to start their careers and family.

Brad has dedicated his life to being an effective advocate in our community, in business, and in state and federal courts across the United States.  For more than two decades, he’s worked to protect and build our local community by serving on his local HOA board and several Arvada and Jeffco boards and commissions.

An award-winning finance and restructuring lawyer, Brad served as a federal judicial law clerk for two Colorado chief bankruptcy court judges and has successfully fought financial fraud, restructured businesses to rehabilitate companies and save jobs, and protected American companies from theft from China.

Brad and his wife Nancy have been married for 25 years, live in Arvada, and have two children, a son who is a sophomore at CU-Boulder, and a daughter who is a junior at Lakewood High School. Brad enjoys skiing, fishing, aviation, and rooting for the CU Buffs football team.
